Our Disaster Avoided Newsletter

Highlighting examples of successes, and challenges, around the world

Our Disasters Avoided Body of Work includes the publication of a Newsletter which focuses on action being taken to avoid disasters, lessons learned from actions and initiatives, and recent news from around the world. The first edition was launched in November 2023. All editions will be added to this page as they are published.

The Disasters Avoided Newsletter #7 - March 2025

The seventh edition of our newsletter focuses on the important role that Nongovernmental Organisations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organisation (CSOs) play to support disaster resilience and to prevent disasters from occurring. It contains six interviews with seven practitioners as well as articles, ideas and news about the support of NGOs and CSOs towards disaster resilience.
