Our Disasters Avoided Body of Work includes the publication of a Newsletter which focuses on action being taken to avoid disasters, lessons learned from actions and initiatives, and recent news from around the world. The first edition was launched in November 2023. All editions will be added to this page as they are published.

The fifth edition of our newsletter focuses on our work and liaison with the UNDRR team and their global reports and guidelines, and our support for the #NoNaturalDisasters campaign. As always, it includes interviews with practitioners, articles, ideas and news about work being undertaken to avoid disasters.
The fourth edition of our newsletter is focused on flooding. It provides interviews with practitioners, articles, ideas and news about work being undertaken to avoid flooding disasters.
The third edition of our newsletter is focused on small islands. It includes islands-focused interviews, articles, ideas and news about the threats they face of disasters and what is being done about it.
The second edition of our newsletter contains interviews, articles, ideas and news about avoiding disasters, and a focal point on wildfire. The interviewees featured in Newsletter edition 2 are Ms Mizutori (Head of UNDRR), Peter Williams, Ben Ryan and Gordon Woo.
Our first newsletter edition was published in November 2023. It is an introduction to our work, containing a summary of some of the work we are undertaking, links to case studies and interviews with people about different aspects of avoiding disasters.
